E-paper



Nowadays, new technologies are emerging and the use for these technologies is becoming a necessity in our lives. One of these new technologies is E-paper. Electronic-paper, also know as e-paper, is a handy display that is similar to papers, however, unlike papers it can be electronically written on constantly for hundreds and thousands of times, by using an electronic ink enabling it be updated. The most widely known and used form of e-paper is E-Ink. In the 1970's the first e-paper was introduced by Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, it was called Gyricon. A Gyricon consists of sheets, these sheets are thin layers of see-through plastic. Whitin these sheets there are millions of bichromal balls.
